Father’s Day and Huaihao made these.

He hid it under the pillow or something and woke up early on Father’s Day, and he kept checking to see if Daddy has woken up and saw the card.

On another occasion, he saw that Daddy hasn’t seen his card and was upset. This is Huaihao, so precise so sensitive so emotional.

And we finally made our move, after staying in Marine Crescent since last October,the kids helped. IN the days preceding the move, I told Huaihao and Qinzhi at bedtime, that this room we are sleeping in, is where I slept in before I got married.

Huaihao recalled that when we moved from Redhill, he kissed the floor.

Over here, the kids settled into their own rooms, I continue to pop into Huaihao’s room at bedtime and would head out once he is falling asleep . Huaihao always knew and would hug me close and tight.

And Huaihao received a present from dad. Some days, Huaihao had the chance to head outside with Daddy to visit Muji , Ikea and get supplies. And he is happy with spending time with Papa.

At home, we continue to bringing in yummy treats for all to share and Huaihao is most in love with the Kunpoh durians from Bashing Durian Plantation.

On another day, I had the chance to take Huaihao out for a meal and to spend some two-some time. On another day, Huaihao had a tummy ache and skipped school, we headed out for his current fave of wanton noodles then checked out furniture at Tan Boon Liat.

And after moving in for about 3 weeks, we finally headed out for our epic walk to MBS. The kids were game enough to wake up at 6am like any school day and we marched towards MBS.

Daddy reciprocated with a nice breakfast treat and bought Qinzhi bubble tea and Huaihao his fave mango smoothie.

What is surprising is that Daddy not only offered a nice sunday breakfast on his own, but also apologised to Huaihao and Qinzhi.

Daddy shared a little about his story when he was a kid, how his father did not speak to him, and later on left the family when his business failed. And how as a child when he was performing superman on stage, he fell and people laughed, and there after he retreated into himself.

He then said sorry to Huaihao and asked for forgiveness.

Huaihao took it pretty well, but shortly after, says he wants to go to the toilet. And on the way, he said, “mommy, i didn’t really want to pee, but I wanted to give papa some space, because he is crying. “

I m so awed by Huaihao.

So So So awed and humbled by his reading on emotions.

I am beginning to enjoy bedtime with Huaihao a lot, because we talk a lot. He caresses my face and say how smooth and say this is like home.

One night we were talking about what, I cant really remember, and he blurted out, “What’s the point of being number one if you don’t have other numbers?” 

Another day, we thought of inviting folks into our new abode and then we thought of the advisories: 

Huaihao: you should do the right thing even when no one is watching 

Who said that? Teacher?

Huaihao: no— more like me, because my class is 2integrity!

Like his name, Huaihao is light.
